Watercolors Color Depositing Hair Dye Shampoo in Liquid Copper is a 3-in-1 color-depositing shampoo that cleanses, conditions and refreshes copper tones in one wash.
If your copper shades have faded or you want a quick at-home boost between salon visits, this liquid copper formula rebuilds warm, vibrant color while gently cleansing and conditioning. Designed for natural level 7 hair and lightened hair, the shampoo uses direct dyes blended with conditioning agents to lay down vivid pigment without peroxide, sulfates, parabens, salt, PPD or PTD. It’s made in the USA and formulated to be cruelty-free so you can refresh tone responsibly.
The Watercolors formula deposits direct dye molecules during your wash, replacing lost pigment and brightening warm tones. Because the dyes are carried by positively charged (cationic) conditioners, they adhere to the hair shaft for immediate visible results while the surfactants remove buildup.
Expect refreshed, shinier copper tones after one use; longevity depends on hair porosity, existing color, and washing frequency. On pre-lightened or porous hair the deposit appears more vibrant and may fade faster; gentler wash routines and cold water rinses prolong the shade.
You control the outcome by how long you leave the shampoo on and how often you use it. For a subtle refresh, rinse after a quick lather; for a deeper, more saturated copper, leave the product on for 10–15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Watercolors Liquid Copper is formulated to refresh color without harsh chemical oxidizers, making it compatible with color-treated hair. It avoids peroxide and common harsh additives, focusing on depositing color with conditioning ingredients rather than lifting natural pigment.
Who is this for: This shampoo is aimed at people who wear warm copper shades or want a temporary copper tint without a salon appointment. It suits those with natural level 7 hair or pre-lightened hair seeking a fast color refresh, anyone avoiding peroxide-based processes, and users who prefer a combined cleanse-and-color upkeep step. If you need permanent color correction or lifting, consult a professional colorist; for regular tone maintenance and shine, Watercolors Liquid Copper provides an easy at-home solution.

Q: Can I use this on previously dyed hair?
A: Yes. It deposits copper pigment over existing color to refresh tones without peroxide-based lightening.
Q: How long should I leave it in for stronger color?
A: Leave 10–15 minutes for a more intense copper result; 2–5 minutes for a milder effect.
